Always helpful. The history of being GLF/Agway as well as Ace means you can get many horse, poultry, and pet supplies, home repair hardware, farm clothing and footware, paint, seasonal supplies, cleaning supplies, and unique gifts. I always check this location before fighting downtown traffic if I need something. A lovely find was a quality cat litter at a price comparable to Chewy. So i can get it here without the hassle of the delivery driver leaving it at the wrong door or wrestling with heavy boxes.

I needed shear pins for my snowblower. I live in Cortland and the only place that had them was Lowes. I went, and it turns out they didn't actually have any. I drove to Ace in hopes their website was correct and they were still in stock. Not only were they in stock but a very helpful clerk showed me the regular shear pins, and directed me to the ones for a snowblower. I was also able to grab 2 new covered litter boxes for my cats without having to go to another store.

So glad there is still a locally-based hardware store where you can get experienced and skillful advice, as I always do when I go there! Most recent experience with the paint department; I didn't have any leftover paint to identify what was last used on the area I needed to cover, so I made my own --faulty - best guess as to the color and when I got my two gallons home it was WAY off. Breanna was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and was able to fix the color and match the sample I should have brought in the first place, so well that I can't tell any difference. A big relief, and her patience and expertise are much appreciated.

Amazing store with a great selection of clothing, hardware, household supplies. Things are here for pets, arts, cooking and crafts. Friendly staff and knowledgeable too.

Great selection of essentials and some really cool outdoor decor. We have always had a great experience but today, we were so happy with the amazing customer service from the lady working in the paint section (short salt and pepper hair with glasses). She immediately asked us if we needed help and gave us some great suggestions on a good paint for our deck. She continued to go above and beyond by getting us the color we wanted even though it wasn't agreeing with the system. She showed us a sample of what it would look like and apologized for the wait even though no apologies were necessary. This is the type of customer service you do not typically get at the bigger hardware stores. She is an all star and I hope she gets recognized.Thank you so much!
